Microsoft Cloud local currency price changes due in April 2023

12 January 2023

Microsoft have released further details of planned pricing changes that will be rolled out globally on 1st April 2023.

How does this affect me?

For customers in the UK who purchase Microsoft Cloud (CSP) licenses, there will be a 9% increase from 1st April 2023.

Why are prices increasing?

Microsoft sets prices for all their cloud services in US Dollars which historically have been converted to local currency using an internal dollar exchange rate. This price increase is a one-off alignment between local currency and official exchange rate with the US Dollar. Moving forward, there will be pricing alignments based on local exchange rates every 6 months.
